Customised Motorcycle Graphics: materials and printing techniques

Cecchi Graphics Design is dedicated to the creation of custom motorbike graphics through the use of the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art printing technologies. The thermal adhesive chosen for the graphics is developed in MXGP, a product specially tested to withstand the extreme stresses typical of the motorbike environment. Its composition includes an anti-bubble film that effectively prevents the formation of air bubbles during application, as well as the use of ultra-resistant crystal that ensures exceptional durability even in the presence of high temperatures, shocks and UV rays.

The anti-bubble film consists of a thin layer of silicone material placed between the adhesive and the upper protective backing. During application, this layer allows air and moisture to escape laterally, preventing the formation of bubbles, giving the adhesive perfect adhesion even in the most intricate areas. The ultra-resistant crystal, on the other hand, is obtained through the use of modified acrylic resins and pigments selected to withstand more than 10 years of exposure to the elements. To take full advantage of the characteristics of these materials, the adhesive should be applied with care, removing any residual air bubbles by applying light pressure from the centre outwards, using, where possible, a foam roller to aid adhesion.

Precision digital printing technology is used for the printing phase, which, combined with the quality of the materials, results in perfectly detailed graphics with vivid colours. The design phase of the graphics is carried out in-house by Cecchi Graphics Design, which takes charge of the customer's requests via WhatsApp to define all the aesthetic details in full compliance with the requested style, without format or design limitations.
